Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Salary: 

₦180,000 – ₦250,000/month (depending on experience) + allowances (transportation & mobile data)
 

Role Overview:

Equinox Galaxy is seeking a proactive and strategic Operations Manager to drive business development, manage client engagements, and oversee bid processes for oil and gas contracts. This role requires a hands-on approach to securing new opportunities, maintaining compliance, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Contracts Acquisition
    • Identify and pursue contract opportunities through the NipeX platform and other relevant channels.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in oil and gas companies.
    • Track and follow up on all leads to secure tangible contracts for Equinox Galaxy.
  2. Regulatory & Compliance Management
    • Ensure all company documents, licenses, and certifications remain up to date.
    • Handle monthly tax reporting and compliance requirements.
    • Register Equinox Galaxy with additional oil & gas firms to expand bidding opportunities.
  3. Client & Vendor Relationship Management
    • Provide monthly engagement reports with Oil & Gas Industry Contacts (OICs).
    • Represent Equinox Galaxy professionally in client meetings and negotiations.
    • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  4. Project Oversight & Execution
    • Ensure that awarded contracts are executed efficiently and meet client expectations.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure resource allocation and project success.
  5. Brand & Public Image Management
    • Ensure the company’s public presence is actively maintained through strategic updates.
    • Collaborate on marketing and networking efforts to enhance visibility.
  1. Leadership Reporting & Strategy Alignment
  • Provide a structured weekly briefing to leadership on progress, challenges, and next steps.
  • Track and report on key deliverables related to business development, contracts, and operational goals.
  • Participate in an initial strategy session to align on objectives and establish clear milestones.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Business development mindset with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and track progress effectively.
  • Basic understanding of oil & gas operations (training will be provided).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement, sales, or contract management.
  • Previous experience engaging with oil & gas firms is a plus but not required.
